How to use Visual Composer to build pages instead of Muffin Builder

Ive recently purchased the Be Theme. Im just struggling to get going with editing the pages and the Demo Content.

I've used Visual Composer on various themes before an Im very comfortable using this. I just want to know how to edit / customise the demo content pages using the visual composer.

Can this be done?

Also, when I edit the footer styling nothing happens or changes. )Background, Text, link colour and page layout (for example, if I change the 1/2 + 1/2 style or 1/3+13+1/3 nothing happens, it just remains as 1/1)
