Using Page Templates

1.  I made a page template in the builder, I tried passing through the mfn_page_items into a custom field.  I'm adding posts and portfolios with a CSV file, and I'm looking for a way to make a custom page template as the default for different post types.

2.  In the Theme Options > Portfolio there is an option for Hover Title.  Is there anyway to make that option work for Blog page as well?
